Overview

We invite your organization to join a global Jewish community "open house" offering programming of your own choosing during the Hanukkah Homecoming. There is no cost to you. Simply "save the dates" now on your calendar for November 28 - December 5, 2021.

Why Hanukkah?

No one knows when the pandemic will subside enough to allow large gatherings again. Our hope is that by Hanukkah 2021 synagogues, JCCs, Hillels, schools, Federations, camps, and all other organizations around the world we are able to gather again in large groups.

What Kinds of Events?

Each organization will decide what gatherings to offer: celebrations, services, rituals, meals, festivals, community art projects, concerts, candle lightings. The purpose of these events is to rekindle relationships and to facilitate new ones, so plan "relational moments" in every gathering. As your plans come together, we invite you to share what you are doing with your fellow "Homecoming" participants from around the world by posting on the Resources page and in our Facebook group.

What if I am an individual and not connected to an organization can I still participate?

Yes, check out our participants page and look for a Jewish community near you! Hanukkah Homecoming events are a wonderful time to get to know your local communities IRL (in real life) rather than viewed through a computer screen. No matter where you live there is a Jewish community ready to welcome you. Click here to find a community near you.
